Start by dressing your hook shank from the eye back to just past the point of the hook. Make sure that you have a liberal under-layer. This might take 2 or three passes on the hook shank. | |||||||||||

Tie in gold wire on the bend of the hook. | |||||||||||

Apply dubbing to your thread and dress the body of the fly stopping about 2 1/2 eye lengths from the eye of the hook. | |||||||||||

Wrap the gold wire with even turns and tie off. Trim off the extra wire. | |||||||||||

Dub your thread and create the head of the fly with the red/orange hared dubbing. Tie off the thread. | |||||||||||
