Tying the Caddis Pupa

What You Need Hook: Mustad Signature size 16 Thread: 8/0 black Body: Gray hares ear dubbing Ribbing: Gold Wire Head: Red or orange hares ear
	Start by dressing your hook shank from the eye back to just past the point of the hook. Make sure that you have a liberal under-layer. This might take 2 or three passes on the hook shank.
	Tie in gold wire on the bend of the hook.
	Apply dubbing to your thread and dress the body of the fly stopping about 2 1/2 eye lengths from the eye of the hook.
	Wrap the gold wire with even turns and tie off. Trim off the extra wire.
	Dub your thread and create the head of the fly with the red/orange hared dubbing. Tie off the thread.
